Emera Maine prepares for winds and wintry mix

Bangor and Presque Isle, Maine — With rain, snow and freezing rain moving across northern and eastern Maine on Patriot’s Day, along with the potential for elevated winds overnight into Tuesday, Emera Maine will be positioned and staffed to respond.

The company’s storm team has been meeting regularly to ensure proper resources are in place.

“We’ve been monitoring changes in the forecast over the weekend and will continue to adjust our plans as appropriate,” said Storm Manager Lisa Martin.

Emera Maine encourages customers to take precautions if traveling in inclement weather and to be prepared for any possible service interruptions. Never approach what may be a downed wire. Stay clear and call 911 or Emera Maine.
