Restoration Details:

Emera Maine crews have restored power to more than 13,000 customers in the last 24 hours after strong winds and heavy rain caused significant damage to tree limbs and power lines.  Heavy rain-soaked leaves weighing on tree limbs caused numerous tree limbs to break and fall on power lines.  The damage has been widespread and crews are now working on circuits with small numbers of customers and in remote areas, making repairs time consuming.
Meanwhile, the operations team is keeping a close eye on Hurricane Joanquin and will plan accordingly depending on the storm's track.
Customers who aren't sure if their power outage has been reported should contact the Customer Service Center or report the outage at emeramaine.com.
Please remember it's never safe to touch a fallen power line.
