Where we give

We believe in contributing where we can truly make a difference – both with our time and our financial resources. We choose causes where we believe our impact will be a source of pride for our employees. We give where we live. And we want our employees to see the difference our contributions are making in the communities in which we live, work and play.

The Emera Maine Charitable Giving Program provides meaningful support to organizations and causes which have one of these focuses:

  • Educational
  • Health and Wellness
  • Humanitarian
  • Cultural

The Charitable Giving program does not support religious activities; fundraisers or benefits for individuals; school trips, including field trips; sporting events and competitions; team sponsorships; graduation, proms or holiday parties. We do not consider funding requests for travel expenses, debt reduction or operating costs, and do not fund for-profit organizations.

All requests must be made through our online application using the link above.
